Harrogate-based premium Gin brand, Slingsby, is the headline sponsor of this year’s Ebor Fashion Lawn, taking place at the Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor Festival (Wednesday 21 – Saturday 24 August). 

Fashion has become a key focus at the four-day racing event for racegoers, and the summer festival is famous for its stylish attendees. Slingsby Gin will be the first ever sponsor of the Ebor Fashion Lawn, which has been created to celebrate racegoers’ love of style. 

The sponsorship will see Slingsby branding on-stage, and incorporated within the design of the whole area, which is situated within the picturesque lawns of the Edwardian Weighing Room. Co-Founder of Spirit of Harrogate Marcus Black and Marketing Director Clare Gibson will form part of the judging panel throughout the 4 days and will be helping to select the very best dressed spectators throughout the duration of the event.

Racegoers will be able to watch and participate in the Slingsby Ebor Fashion Lawn without the need to book in advance. Combining fashion and fun, the catwalk is open to all and a chance to show off outfits whilst friends cheer from front row. 

As an added bonus, daily prizes are also available for Best Dressed Lady and Gentleman, Runner up Lady and Gentleman, Best Dressed Couple, Best Hat and Best Dressed Child. 

Slingsby are also category sponsor for Best Dressed Couple – the stylish pair will be able to enjoy Slingsby’s Master Distiller experienceand a night away at Hotel Du Vin, Harrogate.

Best Dressed Lady is partnered by new supporter, John Lewis & Partners with the winner each day taking home a £250 luxury hamper and a day in John Lewis & Partners York: A Personal Styling appointment with fizz and a £150 spend, Afternoon tea in their Place to Eat and a facial at Clarins with a complimentary goody bag.

Sky Bet have also extended their partnership to participate in the Slingsby Ebor Fashion Lawn as category sponsor for Best Dressed Gentleman. The lucky winner will receive two box hospitality tickets to either an EFL match or next year’s Cheltenham Festival. 

Runner up Lady and Gentleman will enjoy a Gin tasting at Slingsby Distillery and two seats in the new Premier Racing Lounge at York Racecourse.  

We are delighted to welcome back Georgina Durdy as our resident milliner for Slingsby Ebor Fashion Lawn. Based in Yorkshire, Georgina makes each of her hats by hand using beautiful, high quality fabrics and feathers. Our Best Dressed Hat winner each day will be the lucky owner of one of these creations. 

And for those bringing their children (children under 18 are admitted free (under 16 with accompanying adult only) we have special category, partnered by The Potions Cauldron. The winner will receive a Potion Goodie Bag made up of tasty beverages for young magic-users, and will be able to take a trip to 9¾ Shambles where they will have the chance to make their very own potion.
