In a new offer to racegoers and music fans alike, Tribute Weekend has been announced for Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 May. As well as seven competitive races, there will be a live concert by MANIA- the tribute to ABBA after racing on Saturday, with Majesty Queen performing in tribute to Freddie Mercury and his bandmates on Sunday. On the track, Saturday sees the Group 3 William Hill Bronte Cup, with Sunday as a part of the new Sky Bet Series. As is the convention for York on a Sunday, the dress code in County Stand will be relaxed and the two enclosures of Grandstand & Paddock and Clocktower Enclosure, combined.
It has been announced that Madness will perform after racing on Friday evening 22 July, with the original line up of the Sugababes as the headline music act for Saturday 23 July. Admission to both events is on sale through this website.
