Given the popularity of the combination of high-quality racing followed by live music from McFLY, York Racecourse has reached capacity for both main enclosures on the Stands Side of the Course, for Saturday 24 July only.
For both County Stand and Grandstand & Paddock for Saturday 24 July there are no more admissions available. Please do not travel hoping to gain access to Stands Side, as customers will be disappointed.
The more informal Clocktower Enclosure (known by some as the Picnic Enclosure) is only ever available for sale on the raceday itself, from 11.15am, so this area will be open on Saturday 24 July. The current forecast is for a dry and pleasant day. Those aged under 18 (accompanied if under 16) in the Clocktower are admitted free of charge. Please think of bare feet and do not bring any glass with the picnic. Clocktower Enclosure has a capacity of several thousand, though it is sold on a “first come-first served” basis. Please check our social media for any updates on availability as the raceday unfolds.
There is good availability for all areas on Friday evening 23rd July, with admission possible on all gates before the time of the last race at 8.30pm. On Friday the music act is Rick Astley, with the European Breeder’s Fund Lyric Stakes as the highlight of the six-race card that gets underway at 6pm.
For every raceday, if an admission needs to be refunded, the badge/ticket are formally cancelled on the entry system, people are strongly advised to only purchase admission direct from York Racecourse.
