Connections of top stayer Stradivarius stand to scoop a one million pound bonus if he wins the Weatherbys Hamilton Lonsdale Cup, one of the feature races on Day 3 of the Ebor Festival at York on friday.
The bonus was put up for any horse that could win four of the top long distance races culminating in this race, and Stradivarius is on the brink after winning the Yorkshire Cup, Gold Cup at Ascot and Goodwood Cup.
Charles Hamilton, the Chief Executive of Weatherbys Hamilton put up the bonus, and has been speaking with Mike Vince ahead of the big day.
