Throughout our 2024 season there are various opportunities for race sponsorship at York Racecourse. We value all our relationships with our sponsors; with many spanning decades, most notably in 2019 we celebrated 60 years of the John Smith’s Cup.

Race sponsorship is seen as an effective way of expanding company profiles, with access to Racing TV and/or ITV viewers as well as those attending the racecourse. Race sponsorship offers a very cost effective way of reaching both a large and upmarket audience with your key business messages; the bigger the race then the bigger the media coverage and raceday crowd. On-course banners, racecard advertising and racegoer displays are all exclusive sponsor benefits.

However, race sponsorship is also used to mark a special occasion for organisations or racing enthusiasts.

Sponsorship fees vary according to the race and hospitality taken however on every occasion the racecourse expects to contribute to the prize fund which is why we are confident that racing is unique in offering a proven successful product at a lower than perceived price.
