Rossa Ryan looks ahead to the Sky Bet Ebor

Paul Hanagan has hung up his riding boots

Dual Champion jockey Paul Hanagan will ride for the last time at York today, bringing down the curtain on a career of classic success, two Championships and an alliance with trainer Richard Fahey that propelled Yorkshire Racing into unrivalled heights.

Hanagan has been joined by his family for an emotional final hurrah on the Knavesmire. and has given an emotional interview to Mike Vince about his career and some special memories.

James Doyle after winning the Pertemps Network Yorkshire Oaks

Warm Heart, trained by Aidan O'Brien and ridden by James Doyle has won a thrilling Pertemps Yorkshire Oaks, the feature of Day 2 of the Ebor Festival at York.

She got the better of a great battle with Frankie Dettori on Free Wind by a Head in a photo finish, with O'Brien's better fancied stablemate, Savethelastdance third.

Jason Hart on Highfield Princess

Flying filly Highfield Princess is all set to go for the defence of her Group 1 Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes, the feature race on day 3 of the Ebor Festival at York.

Trained by John Quinn at nearby Malton she bright the house down with a memorable victory a year ago, and having won the King George Stakes at Goodwood last time will arrive on the Knavesmire primed and ready to go.
