Singer-songwriter and DJ, Craig David, has been confirmed as the final music artist who will perform at York Racecourse during the 2026 season.
The award-winning performer will present his TS5 DJ set to headline Music Showcase Friday Evening, 24th July 2026.
Though it may be more than 20 years since the critically-acclaimed album, ‘Born To Do It’ changed his life, Craig has since catapulted back into the charts and into the nation’s hearts with a string of chart hits and a Number 1 album In total, he has racked up an astounding 23 UK top 40 singles, nine UK top 40 albums, amassed over 5 billion streams worldwide and has achieved multi-platinum status in more than 20 countries around the world in his career. Craig has also received multiple BRIT Award and Grammy nominations, 4 x MOBO Awards, as well as becoming a 3x Ivor Novello Award winner.
TS5 started out as the most exclusive pre-party hosted by Craig at his penthouse home in Miami. Craig’s set combines massive old skool anthems from R&B to Swing beat, to Garage and Bashment, whilst merging current chart-topping House hits. With Craig’s amazing ability to sing, MC and work the crowd while DJing simultaneously it’s clear to see how the growth of TS5 has emerged. In 2017 Craig brought TS5 to over 100,000 people on the world-famous Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury as well as selling out two O2 arenas earlier on in the year.
The Knavesmire gig will form part of a busy touring schedule for a singer also known for his support of causes from green transport to helping the homeless.
Racing and music fans can take advantage of a range of discounts on the track’s own website, meaning entrance to the main Grandstand and Paddock enclosure, starts at just £42 per person for a group of six.* As well as free car parking, there are no booking fees on this route to purchase. On the racecourse itself, the racing action will see six thoroughbred contests with the £70,000 feature race being a Listed contest for fillies, backed by the European Breeders Fund.
It promises to be a fun-filled summer for racing and music fans as there are four other racedays scheduled for this popular time of year; beginning with Summer Music Saturday showcasing Becky Hill (27 June), the traditional highlight of the 67th John Smith’s Cup Meeting (Friday 10 and Saturday 11 July) with Music Showcase Saturday when Tom Grennan headlines (July 25th) ending July.
