York Racecourse wins national award

York Racecourse is delighted to have won four prestigious awards at the National Racecourse Showcase Awards.

The track won the overall Showcase Champions Award after success in three individual categories.

The course won came in the category awards for the Best Groundstaff, Best Food & Drink and Best Experience for Owners.

All of them in part recognise the benefits of the Northern End Development, which only opened this season.

Members of the team were present at a glittering ceremony staged at Ascot Racecourse on Thursday evening.

York is proud to have collected an award on every occasion that these awards have been staged.

It crowns an exciting week for the team at the Knavesmire, as the course was also pleased to win the White Rose Award for Best Tourism Event, as recently as Monday evening.
